New Delhi: After blocking it for over a week, social media platform Instagram restored the account of Chinar Corps, the Indian Army's strategically located formation in the Kashmir valley on Wednesday. Even Instagram's parent company Facebook had blocked the account of the Srinagar-headquartered XV Corps, popularly known as Chinar Corps, but has now assured a timely solution to the matter. Following e-mail interactions with the technical team of Facebook, the Instagram account was restored while the account on Facebook would be restored soon after all the material from the previous handle was shifted to a new handle, the officials told news agency PTI. The Indian Army unit account was reported blocked on January 28, two days after India celebrated Republic Day and XV Corp pages posted how the locals took part in the celebration.
