Store water, supply to be hit in Delhi: DJB blames shortage on increase in pollutants in Yamuna

Sitting MLA from Delhi's Rajinder Nagar, Raghav Chadha stated, "Due to an abnormal increase in pollutants in Yamuna raw water discharged by Haryana, production at Sonia Vihar & Bhagirithi Water Treatment Plants will be adversely impacted." 2/2 — Raghav Chadha October 29, 2020 In 2019, the Bureau of Indian Standards released a ranking of cities based on tap water quality. In its suo moto report of surveillance of water quality in Delhi, the DJB collected and analysed water samples from as many as 10,040 sources, including 2,843 tubewells, 2,843 public hydrants and 1,114 water tankers between August 16 and August 30, 2020.
