TCS to make Millennium Towers its transit building in Visakhapatnam, to start functioning with 2,000 employees

Tata Consultancy Services, which has been planning to set up a base in the city, will make Millennium Towers at Rushikonda their transit building and initially start functioning with 2,000 employees, IT Minister Nara Lokesh said. Addressing the media at the Collectorate on Sunday, Mr. Lokesh said that the State Government will show TCS and other IT companies more lands for construction of new buildings in the city, adding that further discussions with the representatives of the IT companies will be held in Davos. Mr. Lokesh came down heavily on the former YSRCP government, stating that in its five-year rule, the party did nothing for North Andhra. Responding to the YSRCP leaders’ allegations of the NDA government failing to implement its election promises, Mr. Lokesh said that in the first six months of the government, Anna Canteens were reopened, pension was increased, and the Deepam scheme was started.
