It's a Christmas tradition: dragging young children around way past their bedtime to see backyard light displays in all their glory. In prime grazing country in the centre of Queensland, Duthie Park station owner Peter Skewes has lost count of how many lights he has installed or how much it has cost him since he started his displays near Blackall 10 years ago. "It's great that people enjoy it … it's like working for the community, and you don't do it for praise; you do it because you enjoy doing it," Mr Skewes said.
