Gadapa Gadapaku not election campaign, says Dharmana

Deccan Chronicle

VISAKHAPATNAM: Minister for Revenue Dharmana Prasada Rao said there was resentment among the people against the government, while talking to the reporters during his Gadapa Gadapaku programme which was organized in PN Colony in Srikakulam town on Tuesday. He also added that the ongoing Gadapa Gadapaku government programme is providing their party an insight into the way welfare schemes can be delivered to eligible beneficiaries in the state. Prasada Rao said Gadapa Gadapaku programme is not intended as a campaign for next elections. Prasada Rao recalled former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi admitting that 90 percent of welfare schemes did not reach beneficiaries due to corruption.
