Everyone stands to gain from Women's Premier League: Cricket administrator Shubhangi Kulkarni
India TodayWomen's cricket is on the cusp of a revolution in India. However, Shubhangi Kulkarni, the secretary of the erstwhile Women's Cricket Association of India, wants to focus on BCCI's "great step forward" for women's cricket. The 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup was the most digitally engaged ICC women's event, recording 1.64 billion total video views across ICC channels and becoming the third most digitally engaged ICC event ever behind the 2019 Men's Cricket World Cup and 2021 Men's T20 World Cup, according to the ICC. The tournament clocked 1.1 billion video views on ICC digital channels, becoming the second most after the 2019 Men's Cricket World Cup. The lack of an ICC trophy in women's cricket ended with young India as they were crowned U19 T20 World Cup champions.
