
Cape Town explores tech, tourism ties with Karnataka
The HinduCape Town has an interest to forge strong partnerships with India that in turn will generate economic opportunities back home in the port city of South Africa, said Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth and Tourism, Alderman James Vos here on Tuesday. Mr. Vos was in the City on a two-day tour, alongside officials from his department and Cape Town’s strategic business partners, CapeBPO and Cape Town Tourism. India’s dynamic BPO and tech industries complement Cape Town’s strengths, and by joining forces, we can unlock investment, create jobs, and enhance trade and tourism between our regions,’‘ he said. I look forward to exploring how these two cities can share best practices, innovate and grow.” The minister highlighted MoveInSync, a workplace app and platform, developed by a Bengaluru-based firm, that aims to revolutionise employee commuting and workplace management by offering a comprehensive solution for transportation, parking, and workplace services, has made an entry into Cape Town.
