Mark Matthews confronts another fear after Jaws wipeout in Hawaii

ABC

Three days after facing one of his biggest fears, Sydney big-wave rider Mark Matthews found himself confronting another, public speaking. Three days after sustaining a fractured arm surfing big waves in Hawaii, Mark Matthews presented a speech on risk management before flying to Sydney for further examinations. "When I came up, I couldn't get onto the jetski straight away because they come in on your left side, but that was my injured arm, so I had to cop another wave. "If I can be back surfing within two months, I might be able to get a couple of late season swells," Matthews said.
