Queensland coroner to examine whether system failures led to death of Elizabeth Struhs

A coronial inquest is set to examine whether there were system failures that led to the death of eight-year-old Elizabeth Struhs. All 14 members of a fringe religious group known as The Saints were this week found guilty of her manslaughter, including her father Jason Struhs and mother Kerrie Struhs. Child Safety Minister Amanda Camm has announced an inquest into the death of Elizabeth Struhs. Elizabeth's sister Jayde Struhs has also launched civil action against the Queensland government, alleging the Child Safety Department breached its duty of care.
