Pinarayi Vijayan slams Centre for 'step-motherly treatment' in Wayanad relief aid
India TodayKerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has lashed out at the central government and Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing them of spreading misinformation and neglecting Kerala’s needs in the aftermath of the devastating Wayanad landslide. The remarks come in response to Shah’s claim that the Kerala government delayed submitting a disaster assessment report, which Vijayan described as baseless and an attempt to avoid responsibility. Vijayan dismissed Shah’s assertion, saying, “The Home Minister is claiming Kerala delayed the submission of its report. Despite this, Kerala’s three key demands remain unaddressed: Declaring Wayanad landslide a disaster of severe nature to enable international financial aid, writing off debts of the survivors, and granting emergency relief under the NDRF.
