Read our privacy policy Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of the late Van Halen founder Eddie Van Halen, has condemned false rumours that he is set to replace his father as the band’s lead guitarist. Today, his son used social media to address the unsubstantiated claim made on a Wolfgang Van Halen Facebook fan page that he was set to take his father’s role in a re-imagined Van Halen line-up. The Facebook post alleged that there is “a good strong possibility” that Van Halen would be stepping into his father’s former position as lead guitarist.
