How the Seven Network became embroiled in defamation action between Bruce Lehrmann and Network Ten

Evidence of Mr Lehrmann's 'wilful dishonesty': Network Ten lawyers Network Ten lawyer Matthew Collins told the court Mr Auerbach's evidence, if accepted, "discloses wilful dishonesty". With the finish line in sight, the Federal Court has provided another twist in Bruce Lehrmann's defamation case against Network Ten after the broadcaster won its bid to reopen the case and put fresh evidence before the court. In this case, the Seven Network obtained an audio recording of a conversation involving Brittany Higgins, her partner David Sharaz, Lisa Wilkinson, and senior Network Ten producer Angus Llewellyn. The broadcaster's barrister Matthew Collins has told the court Mr Auerbach's evidence, if accepted, "discloses wilful dishonesty" on Mr Lehrmann's part, and "a preparedness to commit a very serious contempt of court".
