Ramanathapuram police recover ₹5 lakh lost by youth to cyber fraud

Ramanathapuram Superintendent of Police G. Chandeesh recently handed over the recovered ₹5 lakh cash to a victim that was lost due to a cyber fraud. Pasupathi, aged 30, of Ilamanur, in February came across a post on social media platform, Instagram, about investments in crypto currency. As he was sent account details of a private bank, the victim as instructed deposited ₹5 lakh in the account. After learning that he was cheated in a cyber fraud, he approached the Ramanathapuram cybercrime police and registered a complaint.
