Lalit was appointed as 49th Chief Justice of India, on 27th of August 2022. What was most important was the Supreme Court's announcement of hearing Constitutional benches matter after the 29th of August under the supervision of the Chief Justice of India. Constitutional Bench Pendency And Stalemate Since 2019 The Supreme Court of India came into existence in 1950 via Article 130 of the Indian Constitution.
