Siddaramaiah mandates his approval for all official transfers in Karnataka
India TodayKarnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah issued a directive requiring all top government officials to seek his prior approval before making any transfers in their respective departments. "If it is necessary to transfer people in any department in administrative and public interest, the prior approval of the Chief Minister should be obtained," the directive stated. Siddaramaiah warned that failure to comply with this directive would lead to disciplinary action against the responsible officials, including Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, and heads of departments. "Therefore, it has been clearly instructed to all the departmental Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Secretaries to strictly follow the guidelines of the said circular and not to issue any transfer orders without the approval of the Chief Minister," the note concluded.
