India Submits 23 National Biodiversity Targets to UN Convention

India has submitted its National Biodiversity Targets to be achieved by 2030 to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity. The 23 targets include measures to conserve 30% of areas of degraded terrestrial, inland water, and marine and coastal ecosystems, ensure participation, justice, and rights for indigenous peoples and local communities, women and youth, sustainable consumption choices, and food waste reduction.
