Industries aligned with youth’s skills key to job growth: Minister

Industries Minister P. Rajeeve has said that Kerala offers ample opportunities for investors to establish industries that match the skills of the youth, ensuring better job prospects within the State. He was inaugurating the Malabar Conclave here on Thursday organised by the Industries department ahead of the Invest Kerala Global summit to be held in Kochi on February 21 and 22. The Minister said a 500-acre industrial park had been planned at Mattanur, with another 500 acres to be added, modelled on the Industrial Smart City in Palakkad. The region is also poised to contribute significantly to the State’s ‘Mission 1000’ project, which aims to establish 1,000 companies with an average gross income of ₹100 crore each.
