TS BJP adds 125 more to its state executive, takes total to more than 400
Deccan ChronicleHYDERABAD: If numbers are anything to go by, the Telangana state BJP is getting serious about facing Assembly elections in the state with the party adding 125 members to its state executive, which already has around 250 members taking the total to four hundred and odd. With this, the leader said, the state executive committee has members who have been recommended by current party MLAs, MPs, former MPs, and other senior party leaders. In addition to all the office bearers at the state, and district levels, and the party’s spokespersons, the state executive will also have as special invitees for the group’s meetings all former ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, ZP chiefs, mayors, and retired IAS, IPS officers in the party, the BJP state general secretary G. Premender Reddy said. Tuesday’s announcement saw the Hyderabad district’s three zones as divided by the BJP – Bhagyanagar Malakpet, Mahankali Secunderabad, and Hyderabad Central – add 14 members from the three zones to the state executive committee.
