Taj Banjara reopens after part payment of property tax dues

Hyderabad: The GHMC that sealed the Taj Banjara Hotel in Road No. 1 Banjara Hills, on Thursday for defaulting property tax of Rs 1.43 crore, reopened it on Friday after the establishment paid Rs 52 lakh. When our circle level officials approached the management, they were informed that due to financial constraints the tax dues could not be paid,” said a senior GHMC official. Approximately, Rs 1,480 crore tax amount has already been collected this year,” said a GHMC official. Crackdown against property tax defaulters will continue and their premises will be sealed,” said a GHMC official.
