Telangana: No Proper Supply of Drinking Water in My Village: R&B Min.

Nalgonda: Minister for roads and buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday said there is no proper supply of drinking water in his village Brahmanavellamla of Narketpally under Mission Bhagiratha and he expects the same situation in other villages as well. Responding to it, Venkat Reddy said drinking water is not supplied properly to people in Brahmanavellamla, his native place, even though Rs 4,000 crore was spent by the earlier government for Mission Bhagiratha in the district. Supporting him, Telangana state legislative council chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, who also attended the meeting, said half the houses in his native place Urmadla of Chityal mandal do not get adequate drinking water supply. The state government aimed at completing the pending irrigation projects in the district within three years and to provide irrigation facility to additional four lakh acres, he added Zilla Parishad chairman Banda Narender Reddy, Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, MLAs B Laxma Reddy, Nenavath Balu Naik, Vemula Veeresham and Mandula Samuel attended the meeting.
