Show-Cause Notices to Headmasters Spark Protests in Kadapa
Deccan ChronicleShow-cause notices issued to 829 headmasters of government and private schools by Kadapa district educational officer over delays in completing APAAR registrations have drawn criticism in the district. As per sources, APAAR registrations are mandatory for all students up to high school level under the "One Student, One Nation" initiative of the New Education Policy. This has slowed the process across the state, with many registrations pending.DEO Meenakshi’s issuance of notices to headmasters triggered protests from teachers’ unions, which raised the matter with MLC Ramgopal Reddy. He promised to escalate the matter to higher authorities to prevent unjustified notices against headmasters.In parallel, finance minister Payyavula Kesav highlighted the burden placed on parents to rectify documents and urged education minister Nara Lokesh to ease this process.
