See you on Christmas Day.” The Bafta-winning sitcom first aired on BBC Three in 2007, with series two also airing on the channel, before a Christmas special and a third series ran on BBC One, ending in 2010. The duo said in a statement: “Over the last ten years we’ve talked a lot about Gavin & Stacey – where they might be today and what their lives might look like. Thank you BBC for helping to make this happen.” The show follows Gavin, from Essex in England, and Stacey, from Barry in Wales, who fall in love after speaking on the phone every day at work and decide to get married.
