OnePlus next flagships to feature iPhone-like action button? Here is all we know
For years, OnePlus has been launching its smartphones with an alert slider, which is used to switch notification settings to ring, silent or vibrate. A new report indicates that the next-gen OnePlus flagships will do away with the toggle bar and bring a button for these tasks. OnePlus to launch iPhone-like action button The upcoming OnePlus button is expected to be multi-functional, allowing users to customise it for various tasks. Originally introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro models as a replacement for the traditional ring-silent switch, the Action Button enables users to toggle between silent, vibrate, and ring modes, activate Do Not Disturb and Focus modes, launch the camera or flashlight, trigger Shazam, and access favourite shortcuts in Control Center. The OnePlus 10T also lacked the alert slider, with the company justifying its removal as a necessary engineering trade-off to accommodate faster charging, a larger battery, and an improved antenna system.
