Qingdao textile company adapts factory lines to mask-making units

Jifa Group, a large-scale textile company in Qingdao, Shandong province has adapted its existing assembly lines to produce medical masks as part of the nation's broader fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak. Wan Gang, deputy general manager of Jifa Group, said that the company has revamped its factories to produce masks and samples have been submitted to relevant departments for inspection. In a bid to meet the surging demand for medical masks and protective suits in China, the Qingdao municipal bureau of industry and information technology has been arranging for local textile enterprises to produce crucial medical equipment.
