Three people were injured with one being in critical condition, after a dispute over burning 'agarbatti' escalated into a violent altercation at a high-rise housing society in Mumbai, triggering political reactions. The incident, which occurred on Thursday night at Kalyan's Ajmera Heights Society, has brought to the forefront simmering tensions between Marathi and non-Marathi residents, further intensifying the controversy. The conflict reportedly began when Akhilesh Shukla, a government official residing in society, lit incense sticks outside his apartment. The incident has drawn the attention of the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, which has pledged to take action if the police fail to arrest Shukla within two days.
