What will it take to stop China’s Uighur genocide?

Al Jazeera

On Thursday, June 2 at 19:30GMT: Disturbing new details are emerging about the treatment of China’s ethnic Uighur population in the country’s far west region. United Nations high commissioner for human rights, Michelle Bachelet, was in the middle of a highly orchestrated trip to China when news of the leak broke. But human rights advocates say the files directly contradict China’s claims that people in the reeducation facilities were there on their own behalf. In this episode of The Stream, we are joined by: Rayhan E. Asat, @RayhanAsat Human rights lawyer Sophie Richardson, @SophieHRW China Director, Human Rights Watch Mamatjan Juma, @MamatjanJuma Deputy Director of Uyghur Service, Radio Free Asia
