NT COVID-19 contact tracing app to be upgraded to feature exposure site information
ABCThe Territory Check-In app is getting an overhaul to include information on the locations and times Territorians may have come into contact with someone positive for COVID-19, following public concern over a lack of information in contact tracing messages. Key points: Territorians have been frustrated by a recent lack of information about COVID-19 exposure sites Changes to the Territory Check-In app will give people more information about their possible exposure Chief Minister Michael Gunner says the NT has a "good" amount of RAT kits in stock Chief Minister Michael Gunner this morning said the NT government was working with the ACT government, which owns the Territory Check-In app, to develop an "in-app solution" to provide people with exposure site information. " "If we were to include location data in the texts, the health advice wouldn't change, but what would change is we'd be sending something like two-and-a-half to three million texts a week," he said. RAT tests in 'good' supply With demand for rapid antigen tests still high across the country, the Chief Minister said the NT had a "good" amount of stock and enough to meet demand. With NT schools going back next week, Mr Gunner said the government would provide public schools with enough RAT kits for school staff to be tested three times a week throughout term 1, but said private schools would have to supply their own.
