Government committed to welfare of dairy farmers, says Andhra Minister

The Hindu

Minister for Transport and Sports Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy on Wednesday reiterated that the government was committed to enhancing the welfare of dairy farmers. During the inauguration of a cattle shed at Lamalapalle in Ramapuram mandal of Annamayya district, which coincided with the Kanuma festival on Wednesday, the Minister underscored the State government’s substantial investments in initiatives aimed at supporting dairy farming. He noted that approximately 300 cattle sheds had been approved for the Rayachoti assembly segment, with the Animal Husbandry Department and the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme collaborating on their construction. He said the initiative was part of the government’s comprehensive strategy to improve the livelihoods of dairy farmers and promote sustainable cattle management practices in rural areas.
