Lokesh Promises to Resolve Problems During Praja Darbar
Vijayawada: Education and IT minister Nara Lokesh has promised to resolve issues of the public regarding lands, employment, pensions, welfare schemes etc during the Praja Darbar grievances programme held at his residence on Tuesday. They explained how funds were allocated for erection of summer storage tanks during the 2014 Telugu Desam government, “but the work had stalled under the YSRC rule.” They urged the minister to complete the project and allocate funds for two additional overhead water tanks. Representatives of the Bahujan Sena from Eluru urged the minister to restore 26 welfare schemes that were revoked during the YSRC term, and “withdraw illegal cases filed against protesters.” They sought pensions for Bahujan movement leaders, to which the minister responded positively, promising appropriate measures.
