Congress's Adhir Chowdhury 'biggest obstacle' in seat talks: Trinamool sources
The seat-sharing negotiations between the Congress and the Trinamool Congress for the Lok Sabha polls in West Bengal saw no headway as state Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury remains the "biggest obstacle" in the relationship between the two parties, TMC sources told India Today TV. The TMC is unhappy with how Chowdhury has been targeting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee even when BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari hit out at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, sources said. The first dilemma, a section of the party believes that if they contest alone, without the INDIA bloc, then the minorities of West Bengal will vote against them," he told reporters. "A few weeks ago, TMC Chairperson and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated that TMC is fighting all the 42 seats in Bengal.
