Indian-origin man shot dead by police in US, was wanted in assault case

A 42-year-old Indian-origin man was shot and killed by police in San Antonio. The incident happened on April 21, after the man, identified as Sachin Sahoo, struck two officers with his vehicle as they were trying to apprehend him in connection with an aggravated assault case. According to a preliminary investigation, just before 6.30 pm on April 21, officers arrived at a home in Cheviot Heights in San Antonio for a report about aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the San Antonio Police Department said in a statement to PTI. Later, the San Antonio Police issued a felony arrest warrant for Sahoo.
