Hyderabad: Incessant rains damage part of Golconda Fort

“The steps and rocks of the kingsway, the wall near the Jagadambika temple, the rear wall and a structure near the second well have suffered damage. Hyderabad witnessed a second bout of torrential rain on Saturday evening barely days after heavy rainfall devastated the capital city of Telangana earlier this week. This has resulted in the inundation of many residential areas like Hafiz Baba Nagar, Omer Colony Nabeel Colony and other adjoining areas. A 50-year-old man was electrocuted to death in Malakpet while a five-year-old child died due to a wall collapse in RK pet area of Hyderabad city. Efforts are being made by the Disaster Response Force of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to clear water stagnation in low-lying areas.
