The meeting was attended by senior BJP leaders, including state president Sukanta Majumdar, his predecessor Dilip Ghosh, Locket Chatterjee, Amit Malviya and former Trinamool Congress leader Dinesh Trivedi. 'Hidden alliance between TMC and Left' Among key issues discussed during the meeting was the decrease in the BJP's vote share in the recent civic body elections. The BJP's vote share in civic body polls is seeing a sharp decline, including in Kolkata, compared to its exceptional performance in the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections when it bagged 77 seats. West Bengal BJP president Sukanta Majumdar claimed that the decrease in vote share was a result of a "hidden alliance between TMC and the Left".
