COP26: Will Glasgow deliver what Paris promised in fight against climate change?
India TodayThe United Nations Climate Change Conference is underway with world leaders reaching Glasgow in the United Kingdom to discuss how to check global warming and slow down the phenomenon of climate change. “We are extremely grateful to the government of the United Kingdom for hosting this crucially important conference in these unprecedented times and for making every effort to keep all participants safe and healthy,” said Patricia Espinosa, executive secretary of UN Climate Change. Researchers had recently said that climate finance needs to rise sharply to $5 trillion a year globally by 2030 to fund measures to fight climate change. India has said making technologies available to the developing world would be key to fighting climate change effectively.
