World and Olympic champion, judo legend Lasha Shavdatuashvili has been brought to the Inspire Institute of Sport in Bellary as part of the Excellence Accelerator scheme to train a select bunch of athletes and coaches from November 25 to 29. Lasha won the gold in the London Olympics in 2012 and followed that up with the bronze and silver in the next two Games in Rio and Tokyo. Bringing Lasha is just one of the many interventions we will lead to make India’s judo programme a success,” said Parth Jindal, the founder of IIS. Through Excellence Accelerator, we will create more such opportunities across sports,” said Manisha Malhotra, president of IIS.
