India sends request to Pakistan to extradite 26/11 attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed

The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi on Friday said the government has sent a request to Pakistan for the extradition of 26/11 Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed to India. Shortly later, Pakistan's foreign affairs ministry acknowledged the government's request and said it was regarding a "so-called money laundering case". Afterwards, the Pakistani foreign ministry, in response to MEA's press briefing, admitted to receiving the request for Saeed's extradition, however, they said it was in a "money laundering case". Pakistan's foreign ministry spokesperson stated, "Pakistan has received a request from the Indian authorities, seeking the extradition of Hafiz Saeed in a so-called money laundering case.
