Haryana BJP MP threatens to quit if Jats given quota|India TV News

Chandigarh:Taking a stand contrary to his party, BJP MP from Haryana Raj Kumar Saini on Sunday threatened to resign from parliament if the Jat community was given reservation by the government. The Supreme Court had, last month, quashed a central government notification of January 2014 allowing reservation for the Jat community. The BJP government in Haryana has officially supported reservation for Jats. Top Haryana Jat leaders recently facilitated a meeting of Jat community leaders with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah over the issue following the apex court order.
