NIT-C to submit report on habitable areas in landslip-hit Vilangad in Kerala in January

The National Institute of Technology-Calicut is expected to submit a report to the Kerala government in January 2025 on the habitable areas in the landslip-hit Vilangad in Kozhikode district. Mr. Rajan said that the residents of Vilangad and those in Chooralmala and Mundakkai in Wayanad would be given equal consideration while taking up rehabilitation works. The Irrigation department would have to submit an estimated demand to the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority for the purpose. Mr. Rajan said the government would ensure that all the residents staying in rented homes were receiving ₹6,000 a month.
