That’s the story behind Minnesota’s decision to draft BYU QB Jaren Hall with the 164th pick Saturday afternoon. He is shorter in stature, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 207 pounds, but Brugler specifically liked Hall’s ability to extend plays and serve as a team leader. Adding Hall means the Vikings have three QBs with clearly defined roles, and that’s not something every NFL team can say.
