Switzerland to order Dutch travelers into quarantine from Monday
NL TimesAnyone planning on traveling to Switzerland after sponging time in the Netherlands will be required to enter quarantine for ten days. The decision was made as the Netherlands has shown a rapidly escalating number of new SARS-CoV-2 infections, a figure which rose on Friday by roughly 2,800, the most in a single day. "The Swiss government has decided to re-impose travel restrictions for travelers from the Netherlands as of 28 September, because the number of infections in the Netherlands has increased," the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Friday. The Dutch government will thus designate Switzerland as a "code orange" country, meaning people should only travel there if necessary. "After a stay in these cantons, you will go into home quarantine for 10 days when you return to the Netherlands," the ministry said.
