Areas in Lahaul-Spiti and the upper reaches of Manali received snowfall on December 27, attracting numerous tourists to Solang Valley, Rohtang Pass, and the Atal Tunnel regions. Around 1,000 vehicles were stranded in heavy snowfall in Solang Valley, with long traffic jams reported on the Manali-Solang Nala road on Friday evening. The authorities have issued advisories urging tourists to drive cautiously and avoid high-speed driving, particularly in areas like Kufri, Narkanda, Solang Valley, and near the Atal Tunnel, where vehicles are reportedly skidding.
