Warangal, Karimnagar BRS leaders trooping into Congress post Vijayabheri
Deccan ChronicleWarangal / Karimnagar: If Congress’ six guarantees became a lure, the Vijayabheri bus yatra involving top AICC leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi has prodded top and second-rung BRS leaders to quit the ruling party and join Congress in both the erstwhile Warangal and Karimnagar districts. In Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, former Ghanpur mandal PACS chairman T. Bhaskar Rao, along with sarpanches, former MPTC B. Sailu Goud and former deputy sarpanch G. Mahendar of Sultanpur village have joined the Congress in presence of Bhupalpally assembly segment MLA candidate Gandra Satyanarayana. In Warangal district, 20 BRS women wing leaders joined the Congress under the leadership of 28th division Congress party president K. Sampath in the presence of former MLC Konda Muralidhar Rao in Warangal East assembly segment. In Peddapalli district, three BRS corporators of Ramagundam Municipal Corporation – Shankar Naik of 15th division, Saleem Begum of 21st division and P. Yellaiah of 46th division – apart from Penchala Tirupathi, one of the main followers of BRS party MLA Chander Patel, have joined the Congress in presence of the Peddapalli DCC president and MLA candidate from Ramagundam Raj Tagore Makkan Singh.
