India vs Australia: Team India will have to win 1st Test to repeat the success of last tour, says Anil Kumble
India TodayAfter having done well in the white-ball series against Australia, Team India now embark on what many believe to be the real challenge of the tour, to beat Australia in a home Test series. Former India spinner and coach Anil Kumble believes that India have the team to do it once again in Australia, but admits that it is going to be a lot more difficult this time around with Steve Smith and David Warner back for the hosts, and India skipper Virat Kohli missing the last 3 matches, due to paternity leave. If we can stay ahead in the first Test match then India has a great chance to repeat what they did in the last Australia tour,” Anil Kumble said while speaking at a webinar on Thursday, organised by L&T Financial Services Mutual Fund's annual conclave ‘The Winner's Circle’. “Although with Smith and Warner coming back and then Virat missing the three Test matches will obviously be a big factor for India.
