Reiss Nelson could be out for season after hamstring surgery – Marco Silva

Fulham head coach Marco Silva says on-loan Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson could miss the remainder of the season after undergoing hamstring surgery. With Nelson closing in on a return to first-team action, he subsequently suffered a separate hamstring injury in his other leg and underwent surgery last week. I don’t want to give a timescale that is 100 per cent sure, but it could be out until the end of the season, unfortunately for him, and for us.” Nelson joined Fulham on a season-long loan from Arsenal on deadline day last summer after a deal to join Ipswich Town had fallen through. The winger had provided two goals and an assist this season and had started Fulham’s last five Premier League matches before initially being sidelined in December.
