NSW records 18 new COVID-19 cases, lockdown decision likely on Wednesday

Ms Berejiklian said she hoped to announce tomorrow whether the lockdown would be extended beyond midnight on July 9 or not. "What I can say is that based on the health advice, the NSW government is not only thinking about when we come out of lockdown, but what coming out of lockdown looks like and then in addition to that, what life looks like until the end of October when we have many more vaccines available." Ms Berejiklian said she hoped this would be the "last lockdown" until the majority of residents were vaccinated.
