Horse feed contamination reaches as far as Australia
The TelegraphThe tentacles of the horse feed contamination which forced Aidan O’Brien to withdraw all four of his runners in Sunday’s Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe has reached as far as Australia. Six horses from Ballydoyle, including Anthony Van Dyck, Tiger Moth, Magic Wand and Wichita, and a further four from Joseph O’Brien arrived into quarantine at Werribee ahead of the Melbourne Spring Carnival on Friday. Both O’Briens put their horses on a different brand of horse feed and Jamie Stier, formerly in charge of stewarding here but now in charge of integrity services for Racing Victoria, liaised with the trainers to organise testing of the horses to determine whether Zilpaterol was in their systems.
