Collector issues order to tranquillize leopard spotted in Chalakudy

The Thrissur District Collector has issued an order to tranquillize a leopard spotted at various places at Chalakudy in the past few days, as soon as it is located. An emergency meeting led by MLA Sanish Kumar Joseph and District Collector Arjun Pandian was held following the sighting of a leopard in a residential area in Chalakudy. ‘Avoid approaching cages’ People have been advised to avoid approaching the cages and the banks of the Chalakudy river where the leopard was last spotted. Moreover, the police have been instructed to take strict action against those spreading false information about leopard sightings.
