No-vehicle zone, VVIP passes cancelled: Big changes after Kumbh stampede

The Maha Kumbh area has been declared a no-vehicle zone, VVIP passes have been cancelled and roads leading to the fair have been made one-way for smooth movement of devotees, a day after 30 people were killed in a pre-dawn stampede in the Sangam area. Following the tragedy, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a late-night video conference with senior police officers and officials from several districts, including Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Mirzapur, Basti, Jaunpur, Chitrakoot, Banda, Ambedkarnagar, Pratapgarh, Sant Kabir Nagar, Bhadohi, Rae Bareli and Gorakhpur. He issued a slew of guidelines, including the establishment of holding areas at border points to regulate crowd flow and ensuring return routes from Prayagraj remain unobstructed. WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES ISSUED BY YOGI ADITYANATH: Entry of all types of vehicles have been banned in the Maha Kumbh area to ensure proper crowd management and the safety of devotees travelling there.
