Two senior police officers booked for assault

The High Grounds police have registered a case against two senior police officers under attempt to murder, assault, and criminal intimidation based on a complaint by the wife of one of the officers. The wife has alleged that the accused officers, one of them being her husband assaulted her when she found out about their extra marital affair. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against both officers charging them under assault, voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation, and intentional insult to provoke a breach of peace on Wednesday. When the victim confronted her husband, the accused officer allegedly assaulted, humiliated and threatened her of dire consequences.
