Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has vowed to keep fighting the language war and stop Hindi or Sanskrit being imposed in the state in order to safeguard Tamilian identity. While addressing an event in Chennai on Saturday in memory of those who died during 'Mozhi Por', Stalin stated that DMK's students' wing would lead protests to retrieve the state's right to education. In a January 20 letter to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Stalin asserted that the draft guidelines were a clear infringement of the rights of state governments and would have far-reaching consequences on the autonomy of universities.
